A children's game often played at street fiestas in which a palayok (clay pot) filled with candies is hung on a string and blindfolded contestants armed with a stick attempt to smash the pot releasing the candies for the fleet footed ankle biters to gather when they hit the ground.
Henry Bateman is a retired artist and writer currently living on Whadjuk/Noongar country in Perth Western Australia. In 2015 he returned home after living in the Philippines for 10 years. He has also had seven solo exhibitions and has had his work shown in 15 group exhibitions as well as 35 theater commissions as a set designer and/or lighting designer.
He is currently attempting, with varying degrees of success, to live and enjoy an almost carbon free lifestyle.
